Alisha Bhowmik is a multi-racial (Bengali Indian, Cherokee Nation) filmmaker and actor from Arkansas. She’s a graduate of NYU Tisch and the Atlantic Acting School. She produced the feature film Blow Up My Life (Tubi), which premiered at Austin Film Festival, won Best Film at Harlem International Film Festival and had a limited AMC theatrical run in 2023. She has produced short films and music videos that have been awarded a Vimeo Staff Pick, NoBudge Best of the Year 2022 and have been featured in Huffington Post, Refinery29, NYLON and PAPER magazine. Her short documentary Dot & a Feather was the first Sundance Co//ab Challenge winner. Her debut feature film was selected for Cine Qua Non Lab 2024 Storylines Lab and 2026 Writing Residency, and was finalist at the 2025 Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles pitch competition. Alisha previously worked as a film producer at acclaimed advertising agency Droga5. She currently freelance produces at agencies like 72andSunny and on independent projects.
